Dear Director:
Having completed four years of teaching in Mexico I am writing to apply for an available position in Centro Educativo Gusanitos Traviesos to teach English as a Second Language.
My four-and-a-half years experience as a native English teacher in Chile and Mexico have given me a look at how to work with students and understand their needs. Understanding who your students are, I think, is the key to knowing how to teach them in a way they learn and have fun with. My time with Berlitz in Mexico has given me much experience with Berlitz’s teaching methods and materials and I am now very comfortable with using them.
I consider myself an adaptable person who is willing to try new challenges and situations. If I were to teach at your school I would bring a professional and enthusiastic attitude to my job.
Enclosed is a copy of my resume which lists my work experience and education, but does not list my excitement which I hope to talk with you more about in an interview, at your convenience. I appreciate your consideration of my application and thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Damon T. Dalton
